DSSC receives P4-M for massive production, distribution of vegetable seeds, seedlings
The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XI (DA-RFO XI) turned over to Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) PhP 4,000,000.00 in funds for the Massive Production and Distribution on Vegetable Seeds and Seedlings Project on June 11, 2021 at DSSC Campus, Matti, Digos City, Davao del Sur.
DA-RFO XI partnered with DSSC to assist the agriculture industry of Davao del Sur through the program Massive Production and Distribution of Seeds/Seedlings for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).
The fund, sourced from the Bayanihan Act II- Stimulus Package for Agriculture Program, will be used to assist farmers to enhance and sustain their livelihood through the project “S & T Based Vegetable Production: Enhance Food Security and Improve Livelihood through Sustainable Vegetable Production in Davao del Sur”
Present during the turnover were Merriel A. Bernardo, High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP) Coordinator of DA-RFO XI who turned over the check to Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President. Witnessing the turnover were Ronnie Mahinay, Jr., Project Assistant I for DA-RFO XI; and Dr. Mark Jude F. Trondillo, Director of Research and Development and Extension Office; Lilibeth L.
