DSSC grants internally-funded research, extension projects

 

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes together with Dr. Mark Jude F. Trondillo, Director of the Office of Research, Development and Extension (ORDE), and Institute Deans signed Memoranda of Agreement (MoA) for institutionally-based, internally-funded projects on March 28, 2022 at DSSC Conference Hall.

 

The MoA stipulated the terms and conditions, intellectual property rights, and effectivity clauses among the following projects:

 

“Phytochemical Antioxidant Activities of Coffee Leaf extracts from Digos City”

Proponent: James D. Flores (Institute of Arts and Sciences)

 

“Diversity of Neglected and Underutilized Crop Species of Davao del Sur”

Proponent: Richie D. Miguel (Institute of Agriculture and Related Sciences)

 

“Economic Comparative Analysis of Different Production Techniques for Seaweeds”

Proponents: Rhoda M. Hilis and Noreen Faithe Puzon (Institute of Business Education and Governance)

 

“Development and Testing of Seaweed-based Liquid Seaweed Bio-fertilizer”

Proponents: Rhoda M. Hilis and Alvin Crodua (Institute of Business Education and Governance)

 

“Flexible Learning Stressors and Coping Strategies of Students in the Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) of Davao del Sur”

“Community Empowerment Program”

“Mentoring the Parents: Amplifying Parental Involvement towards Learning (APIL)”

ORDE continues to provide guidance and support to our DSSC faculties on research and extension projects that align with the DSSC RDE Agenda such as under Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources; Food Safety and Quality; Social and Cultural Development; and Education and Human Development, among others.
