Paterno takes oath as Student Trustee
Jerve Robin Paterno, Supreme Student Government (SSG) President of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), took oath as the new Student Trustee of the DSSC Board of Trustees (DSSC BOT) during the 2022 First Quarter Board Meeting on April 27, 2022 held via Zoom.
Dr. Aldrin A. Darilag, CHED Commissioner and Chairperson of the DSSC BOT administered the oath of office of Paterno and witnessed by DSSC BOT members and their representatives.
Paterno is currently a third year Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering student who has been elected as the DSSC SSG President in December 2021. As a member of the board, he is expected to uphold and defend students’ rights, represent the students’ collective stand in governance and policy-making in the College.
The DSSC BOT is the highest governing body of the College. It is composed of CHED Commissioner Darilag; Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President and Vice Chairperson; Senator Emmanuel Joel Villanueva, Chair, Senate Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education; Congressman Mark Go, Chair, Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education; Dr. Maria Lourdes D. Lim, NEDA XI Regional Director; Dr. Anthony C. Sales, DOST XI Regional Director; RED Abel James I. Monteagudo, DA RFO XI Regional Executive Director; Prof. Kris Kristofferson T. Tan, Faculty Trustee, President of DSSC Faculty Association; and Jerve Robin Paterno, Student Trustee. Dr. Maricar R.
