DSSC supports “Pag-aaral Mo, Sagot ni Kuya Pulis Program”

 

Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) President and Police Brigadier General (PBGEN) Benjamin Silo, Jr., Regional Director, Philippine National Police Regional Office 11 (PNP-PRO XI), held a fruitful discussion on the partnership of the college and PNP-PRO XI on August 22, 2022, at Camp Catitipan in Davao City.

 

Fuentes committed her full support to the PNP Region XI "Pag-aaral mo, Sagot ni Kuya Pulis Program". This is in accordance with Executive Order No. 70, series of 2018 otherwise known as “Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in Attaining Inclusive and Sustainable Peace, creating a National Task Force to End Local Communist and Armed Conflict, and Directing the Adoption of a National Peace Framework.”

 

Dr. Jeric Anthony Arnado, DSSC Admission Officer and Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez DSSC Scholarship Coordinator confirmed that there are 13 students who qualified for the said program. They were already enrolled in the college who are recipients of the said program.

 

Meanwhile, on August 24, 2022, Fuentes welcomed personnel from PNP-PRO XI and the qualified scholars who are from Pacquibato District. The institution also received two (2) tablets to be distributed among the other students of the college. Present during the visit were Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President; Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez, DSSC Scholarship Coordinator; Dr. Jeric Anthony Arnado, DSSC Admission Officer; Ma’am Salome Garciano, College Registrar; Representative Patrolman Ricky Gulay; and the parents of the scholarship grantee.
