As Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) continues to ensure the quality of its offered programs, DSSC welcomed CHEDRO XI RQuAT for an onsite evaluation of the new program offerings at the DSSC Boardroom and chosen Academic Areas on May 29, 2023.

 To evaluate the readiness of the institution in the opening of new programs, CHEDRO XI RQuAT team headed by Dr. Cesar A. Adegue IV, composing Dr. Lourdes D. Cesar, Engr. Rodrigo S. Pangantihon, Jr., Dr. Grace Aoanan, Dr. Randy S. Gamboa, Mr. Rvin John Servillon, and Ms. Melanie M. Pecision.

Dr. Felomino Alba, Information Communication Technology Center (ICTC) Director, along with Professors Domingo V. Origenes, Jr. and Razel R. Vallecer, MoP toured Dr. Randy S. Gamboa and Engr. Rodrigo S. Pangantihon around chosen academic areas such as the old and new IT laboratories and ICTC office, before settling for paper and process evaluation.

As per the assessment, some issues were found with DSSC institutional papers and processes, such as the lack of available documented evidence for the mentioned work experience of hired faculty members, no performance indicators, and book references are nowhere to be found among others, and thus were remarked partially complied.

Despite the setbacks, many of the assessed and evaluated papers and processes were complied by DSSC. The pool of administrators involved has also pledged to get the work done before the given deadline by CHED.

Attended by the DSSCs pool of administrators and office heads, this assessment and evaluation aim to ascertain the quality of the programs currently offered by the college and ensure the readiness of the school for the quality of the ones yet to be offered. (A.C)
