DSSC’s Extension and Community Relations Office (ECRO) recently conducted a series of activities in partnership with different institutions and communities
On November 10, 2023, Hands-on Training on Bangus Deboning among the fishermen’s wives at Tuban, Sta. Cruz was conducted and was spearheaded by ECRO in partnership with DSSC’s Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education program and its faculty.
The following day, November 11, 2023, READ-Y SET GO: Reading for the Young and Socio-Economic Trainings for Greener Outcomes participated by kids and youth – children of fisherfolks in Tuban, Sta. Cruz was facilitated by DSSC-ITEd Faculty, Coastal Laborers, and Aqua-Marine Savers- CLAMS and Guild of Science Majors- Davao del Sur State College Officers.
At the height of these various engagements with communities, in partnership with the Digos City District Jail-Male Dormitory, the Hands-on Training on Rug Making, Food Processing, and Product Costing among 120 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) successfully conducted by the DSSC’s Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education program and its faculty on November 11, 2023 at DCDJ Multi-Purpose Gymnasium
These programs help individuals in the community to enhance their skills and knowledge that can be beneficial to them, especially for their livelihood.
