DSSC signs MOU with the Presidential Communications Office for the Freedom of Information Program

 
 
 

In an effort to revolutionize information dissemination, Davao del Sur State College – Learning Resource Center (Library), formalized its partnership with the Freedom of Information– Project Management Office (FOI-PMO), Presidential Communications Office, through a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, on March 26, 2024, at the DSSC Gymnasium.

 

With an Opening remark given by Atty. Evangeline Q. De Leon, Assistant Secretary for Operations, via AVP, the event featured a thorough explanation on the overview of the FOI Program, given by Training Specialist III Deniel Angelou G. Echevarria, who engaged with the attending students in an interactive session in exchange for a consolation gift for everyone who actively participates in a question-and-answer portion.

 

It was followed by Information Technology Officer II Martin Jann G. Ceneta, who showcased the Electronic-FOI (eFOI) Portal and FOI Mobile App, guiding the attendees in creating their very own FOI accounts for a seamless access to pertinent government documents.

 

Afterwards, Project Development Officer Angelica Antolin introduced the Library Project initiative of the FOI, alongside the MOU. FOI has now partnered with more than twenty (20) State Universities and Colleges (SUC), with DSSC as the latest.

 

The official ceremonial signing that ensued was led by DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, and FOI-PMO Chief of Communications and Development Division Krizia Casey P. Avejar, joined by DSSC Librarian Rosedella Janson.

 

Also in attendance were DSSC-Vice President for Admin and Finance Dr. Luciano D. Nasibog Jr.; Supervising Admin Officer Engr. Clara A. Acebes; admin personnel, faculty members, and DSSC students.
