𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐨 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐄𝐈𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤




Davao del Sur State College with other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) all over Region XI came together to celebrate CHED 30th Anniversary and the beginning of the 4th Higher Education Week on May 10, 2024, at the University of Southeastern Philippines-Obrero Campus, Davao City.


The event started with a unity walk of the HEIs and CHED RO XI personnel and right after, presentation of cheers and yells filled the USeP gymnasium festive spirit.


In the message of Dr. Christopher Pio O. Pulido, Supervising Education Program Specialist (SEPS) of CHED RO XI, he exemplified the Commission’s goals in ensuring its roles in the nation building and the sustainability of the higher education institutions as it has become more adaptive to the nature of continuous development.


Further into his message, he acknowledged the assembly of the HEIs by emphasizing that the success of CHED was possible because of the collective effort of everyone through the years. “𝘼𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘿’𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 [𝙃𝙀𝙄𝙨] 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨, he added as he elaborated the meaning of the anniversary’s theme – "𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻".


Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, CHED Chairperson, reiterated in his message that the celebration of the National Higher Education Day is also a celebration of 30 years of achievements of the commission.


Finally, the launch of the week-long celebration was a huge success – CHED RO XI personnel and HEIs in high in spirit of festivity, embodying transformation, resilience, and success.
