Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) ICT-Center hosted an ICT Literacy training session for the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) of Digos City on June 25, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the DigiTech Building, SMART Faculty Hub.

The training aimed to enhance the digital skills of the BJMP personnel, contributing to the agency’s goal of becoming a digitally transformed and people-centric institution. The event was attended by 21 BJMP personnel, including the District Jail Warden of Digos City Jail Male Dormitory, PSUPT Len Jhon R. Bernal.

The ICT-Center team, led by Dr. Felomino P. Alba, covered several critical topics. The curriculum included the basic utilization of ICT tools and software, cyber-security and safe internet usage, and data privacy, with a focus on the role of a Data Protection Officer (DPO). Jay Eugene Vann C. Espinosa conducted the training session on ICT tools and basic software, providing practical insights and hands-on exercises to ensure the participants could effectively use these technologies in their daily operations. Jelan Sartorio led the session on creating effective presentations, equipping the attendees with the skills needed to communicate their ideas clearly and professionally.
