Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) through the Institute of Teacher Education (ITEd) successfully conducted a recognition ceremony of the March 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Passers, Semestral Mockboard Topnotchers, and outstanding Class Mayors on July 2, 2024, at around 1–5 pm at the DSSC gymnasium.

 

 

Dr. Augie Fuentes, College President, graced the event with Dr. Siverlyn M. Camposano, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

In her speech, Dr. Fuentes emphasized the value of humility in the midst of success. "I want to tell you that you have to remain humble and respectful and recognize that the knowledge you possess right now is a gift from God, the institution, respective professors, parents, and even from peers," she remarked.

 

 

Dr. Cindy B. Rosil, Institute Dean, spearheaded the recognition together with Dr. Amelie T. Bello, Director for Instruction, and Dr. Meliza P. Alo, BSEd Program Head.

 

 

Mr. Arman D. Emnace, MAEd, gave a keynote speech for the LET passers. Emnace is now a successful principal of a certain school in Matanao, Davao del Sur who happened to be a product of DSSC, formerly SPAMAST. In his speech, he emphasized the role of teachers in nation building. He said that teachers are a potent force in molding the minds of the youth who shall contribute progress in our country.

 

 

The college gave a special recognition to Ms. Renpord B. Lecera, the DSSC's first-ever Summa Cum Laude who secured the 9th rank in the recent Licensure Examination for Teachers. He received P25,000.00-cash incentive and a plaque of recognition from DSSC for his commendable achievement. As a topnotcher, Lecera has brought honor not just to herself and her family, but also to the entire DSSC community, inspiring both current and future students to strive hard for academic excellence.

 

 

In her message, Lecera stressed that in order to achieve success, one must have personal commitment to develop positive attitudes and values to actively pursue productive future.

 

 

The LET passers, mock board topnotchers and outstanding Class Mayors then received their certificates of recognition on stage and shook hands with the esteemed DSSC officials.

 

 

With the theme "Empowering Education, Transforming Future," the event rejoiced accomplishments while also highlighting DSSC's dedication to developing talent and promoting an achievement-oriented culture.
