Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) entered into a Memorandum Agreement with Davao Central College (DCC) for a collaboration on July 3, 2024 at Davao Central College.

DSSC and DCC share the same vision of protecting the ocean from the threats of plastic pollution and climate change through banning unnecessary single-use plastics and restoring mangrove forests, and recognize the importance of collaborative efforts to address the issues of plastic pollution and mangrove degradation.

Furthermore, DSSC and DCC seek to formalize the collaboration and establish a framework for joint initiatives to raise awareness, conduct research, and engage in community activities related to ocean conservation, plastics pollution reduction and mangrove restoration; and trees related disaster theory online synthesis system (OSS).

The said collaboration and resource-sharing are essential to achieve meaningful and sustainable impacts in addressing the challenges faced by the oceans and coastal ecosystems, and climate change.

DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes represented Davao del Sur State College while representing DCC was President Dr. Ruben L. Dela Cruz . Also present during the MOA signing were the DSSC Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Siverlyn Camposano and some staff of the DCC.
