Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) entered into a Memorandum Agreement with Bureau of Jail Management and Penology ( BJMP ) Region XI Digos City District Jail Male Dormitory at Davao del Sur State College Board Room on July 22, 2024.

DSSC is mandated to conduct extension programs that shall contribute to the to community empowerment through its viable extension programs that provide security of livelihood, alleviate poverty, reduce illiteracy, improve health and nutrition, preserve the environment, and promote, support, and sustain human development.

Furthermore, the DSSC commits to extend livelihood projects and activities to the DCDJ- MD PDLs such as but not limited to βGreen Gold: Bamboo Nursery Income Generating Projectβ to uplift the economic status of the PDL while fostering sustainability.

On the other hand, BJMP intensifies its efforts in ensuring utmost jail security and observes the importance of inclusivity through various programs and activities undertaken for the Male Persons Deprived of Liberty.

DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes represented Davao del Sur State College while representing BJMP was JSSUPT. Rufino M. Santiago, Jr . Also present during the MOA signing were the selected DSSC and BJMP staff.
