DSSC Hosts Successful 2024 In-House Faculty Research Review



 
 
 
The DSSC Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Office successfully conducted the 2024 DSSC Agency In-House Review for Faculty at Arnaldo’s Hotel and Restaurant, Digos City. Brilliant researchers from the different institutes of the college presented their research.
 
 
Leading experts and evaluators joined for the session to deliberate and evaluate the most recent research contributions from the selected faculty members. A panel of highly regarded experts evaluated these research presentations: Irma T. De Ley, PhD, Associate Project Scientist at the University of California Riverside; Della Grace G. Bacaltos, PhD, RDE Director at Davao Central College; and Gilbert A. Importante, Executive Director of SMAARDEC.
 
 
The evaluation panel members discussed in-depth the processes and significance of the research that was presented, offering constructive suggestions in the process.
 
 
The AIHR for this year demonstrates the DSSC's continued dedication to encouraging and funding research that tackles important problems in education and advances the creation of efficient teaching and learning methods, and for the benefit of the people in the community.
 
 
The event demonstrated Davao del Sur State College's (DSSC) dedication to furthering educational research and showcased the creative research products faculty members are conducting to promote a culture of academic cooperation and ongoing development. Both the participants and the evaluation panel members recognized the importance of these studies. The DSSC anticipates the faculty's ongoing contributions and the beneficial effects of their research on policies and practices in education.
 
 
Among all the presenters, the following are awarded as Best Presenters: First Place- Prof. Jan Irv Bitoon (Green Extraction and Characterization of Durian Rind Pectin and Its Potential Application); Second Place- Prof. Rhoda M. Hilis (Economic Comparative Analysis of Different Production Techniques for Seaweeds); and Third Place- Prof. Roy R. Molina (Promoting Cultural Identity: Integrating Symbols and Meanings as Medium of Expression).
 
 
2024 AIHR for Faculty was made successful through the effort and support of the College President, Dr. Augie E. Fuentes; the RDE Directors, Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas (RDI) and Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez (ECR); Institute Research Coordinators; and RDE Staff.
