DSSC LAYF conducts Spiritual Awareness among Female PDL

One of DSSC's registered campus organizations, the LAKAS ANGKAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (LAYF), in collaboration with the office of Extension and Community Relations, organized a Spiritual Awareness session for the female persons deprived of liberty (PDL) on March 22, 2024, at the Digos City District Jail.

As part of the Women's Month Celebration, the event commenced with engaging games and a spiritual message. The spiritual message was delivered by Pastor Roberto Bedia. The message highlighted the love of God for mankind and the salvation He offers to whoever believes in Him.

Afterwards, the participants were divided into groups and ministered to by the facilitators.

Laughter and tears filled the air as the women shared their experiences and prayer requests. The session ended with each facilitator praying for the participants.

The event was a success and proved that there is hope despite any circumstance. Much appreciation is extended to Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President; Dr. Queenie Lyn G. Almerez, ECR Director; Noreen Faithe L. Puzon, LAYF Adviser; along with the staff, LA Leaders, LAYF student officers and members, and personnel of BJMP Digos City District Jail, for their invaluable support and guidance throughout the event.

Strict adherence to security and safety protocols was ensured throughout the session.(DSSC-ECRO)
