College Newsletter
THE CURRENT is for the official newsletter of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), drawing inspiration from both its geographical and symbolic significance. Situated near a river, DSSC is naturally connected to the flow of water, which represents movement, progress, and continuous growth. Just as a river current carves its path, shaping the landscape and sustaining life, DSSC serves as a guiding force in education, innovation, and community development. At the same time, "current" also refers to timely and relevant news, making it an ideal name for a publication that keeps the academic community informed about the latest events, achievements, and advancements. THE CURRENT reflects DSSC’s role in shaping the future while staying dynamic, responsive, and ever-evolving—just like the river that flows beside it.
"DSSC Pahayag" served as the official newsletter of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) from 2019 to 2024, acting as the institution's primary voice to chronicle the vibrant life, significant achievements, and ongoing developments within the DSSC community. For five years, Pahayag (meaning "to express" or "to declare" in Filipino) provided timely news and updates on campus events, highlighted academic and research breakthroughs, captured the energy of student life, recognized the dedication of faculty and staff, and documented DSSC's impactful community engagement, ultimately fostering a strong sense of community and preserving a valuable archive of the college's journey during a pivotal period of its growth.
