Overview
The Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) provides services and programs that are concerned with academic support experiences of students to attain holistic student development (CMO 9 s. 2013). Its ultimate goal is to develop skills, attitudes, interests and work habits of a student so that student will be academically and socially competent. It also aims to develop students physically, emotionally, morally, socially and psychologically. The Office is committed to ensure the implementation of equal opportunity principle by being fair and just in giving service among students regardless of gender, disability, civil status, ethnicity, etc.
General Objectives
- To ensure the proper balance between the rights of the College and the rights of students by promoting the well-being of the students, through informative activities designed to facilitate student adjustment in an academic setting;
- To improve the quality of Student Affairs and Services in the College by providing an environment which is supportive to the general welfare of the students;
- To promote access to quality, relevant, efficient and effective student affairs and services by providing opportunities for students’ active participation and involvement in the activities of the academic community and the wider community as well, thereby enhancing personal growth and development;
To ensure that DSSC provides holistic approach for Student Affairs and Services and comply with the minimum requirements for SAS by formulating and implementing programs and services responsive to the needs and concerns of students.
