DSSC ADMISSION OFFICE
The following shall be observed during the enrolment period under the New Normal:
Freshmen:
- Face to Face Admission Test shall be suspended in the new normal. The basis for student admission to college is the Grade Point Average of the Student in Senior High School or the in the previous school according to the grade requirement of the program being sought.
- Interested students fill out-out the College Enrollment Form available on the Official FB Page of the College. Copy of the SHS Report Card must also be submitted to the Admission Office via Online.
- Enrollment confirmation will be sent to the students thru the Official Class Group Chat (GC) before the start of the semester.
- Students will be invited to join the Official Class GC. Certificate of Registration (COR) will also be posted in the GC by the Department Head/Adviser.
- Students will submit the original copy of the school requirements to the School registrar within the given period. A parent or guardian shall submit the school requirements on behalf of the student who is below 21 years old.
Continuing Students (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th year)
- Student shall notify the Class Adviser via text or Messenger on the intention to enroll in the incoming semester. Student enrolment will be facilitated by the respective Department.
- The Program/Department Heads shall conduct thorough evaluation of academic standing and determine subjects to be loaded by their students.
- Enrolment confirmation will be posted in the Official Class GC. Individual COR will be released thru the Official Class GC.
Transferees and Returnees
- Transferees and Returnees shall be accommodated at the last day of official enrolment schedule. Those who are below 21 years old shall be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Informative copy of the TOR will be required as basis for program and subject assessment by the Department.
- Individual COR will be released thru the Official Class GC.
- Cross Enrolment
To other accredited institution:
- A student of the College may be authorized by the Vice President for Academic Affairs through the recommendation of the Institute Dean and the Department Chairperson to cross-register in another accredited institution of higher learning if the subject(s) that the student needs to enroll in during a given term is or are not offered in the College; provided that the total number of units of credit for which a student may enroll shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the rules on academic load.
- The written authorization for cross registration shall be recorded by the College Registrar and shall specifically describe the subjects authorized.
To another Department
- A student may be authorized to enroll in other department with the permission of the Institute Dean as recommended by the Department Chairperson in which the student is primarily enrolled; provided, that the total number of units of credit for which a student may enroll in other department/s shall not exceed the maximum allowed by the rules on academic load.
From Other Institution
A cross enrollee has to present the following documents to the Registrar before the students can be admitted to the College:
- A written permit from the Registrar of the school where the cross enrollee came from; and
- A copy of the recommendation for cross enrollment signed by the Adviser and approved by the Dean of the college offering the specific subject.
Shifting of Program Concentration
A student enrolled in the College who wishes to transfer to another program shall file an application or request letter for transfer to another program noted by the Department Chairperson and approved by the Institute Dean of the previous institute. Application shall be referred to the accepting department together with the Certification of Grades duly signed by the College Registrar. The student shall be admitted in the new program upon satisfying the admission requirements of the accepting department.
Policies
GENERAL POLICY
1. A student carries the name of the College whether inside or outside of the campus and is expected to be a model of the highest norms of behavior reflecting the ideals of a true scholar and a future professional.
2. A student shall observe and follow the rules and regulations of the College consistent to the laws of the land and the standards of society.
3. A student shall perform duties and responsibilities in order to attain the goals and objectives of the College related to quality education.
4. A student shall adhere to the constitutional provision of academic freedom and respect for human rights including the school authorities

ADMISSION POLICY
Davao del Sur State College implements a non-discriminatory admission policy. The following general admission policy is observed:
- No student shall be denied of admission to the College by reason of age, gender identity and sexual orientation, civil status, economic status, ethnicity, nationality, physical disability (Republic Act 9442), special need, religious belief, political affiliation or ideology upon submission of the required documents.
- The College reserves the right to admit or reject student/s on the basis of merit. When necessary, the College may set enrolment quota depending on the availability of resources such as faculty and other facilities.
- A student who graduated from the Senior High School curriculum, transferred from other reputable college institution, or wished to earn a second degree shall be eligible for admission to the programs offered by the College provided that the student has passed or complied with all the qualification requirements.
- A graduate of old Basic Education Curriculum (BEC), including completers and passers of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and accreditation and Equivalent (A&E) assessment shall be admitted to any non-board program provided that the student can meet all the qualification requirements.
- A foreign student who has complied with the requirement of the Inter-Agency on Foreign Affairs and passed the requirement of the College shall be admitted, provided that Filipino applicants have priority over them.
- Offices shall prioritize Persons with Disability (PWD), Senior Citizens, pregnant women and other persons with Special Needs during the admission and enrolment period as well as in all school transactions.
- Stakeholders shall be properly informed of the enrolment guidelines of the college. Admission and enrolment procedures are posted in conspicuous places within the province and inside the institution to provide guidance and directions to clienteles
Qualification per Program
- A student may be admitted upon compliance of all academic and admission qualifications set forth by the College or Institute. Table 1 shows the admission qualification per program. Those who qualify for enrolment but are not admitted to the program desired due to enrolment quota may seek enrolment in other programs. Those who shall not pass may still avail of the non-degree programs of the College.
Note: The qualifications indicated may or not be applied to future program offerings of the college. The program proponents shall set the qualifications for the course offered.

Guidelines
ADMISSION CREDENTIALS
Admission credentials required for the enrollment of a student, who enrolls at the beginning of the semester, are the following (Sec. 85, CMO 40 s. 2008):
Incoming First-Year Student:
- Senior High School Report Card (Form 138) or its equivalent from the school last attended with the eligibility certificate indicated and signed by the authorized school official;
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended;
- Birth Certificate authenticated by PSA (photocopy);
- DSSC Admission Test result;
- Four (4) pieces of passport size picture with white background and handwritten nametag with signature;
- Medical Certificate
- Drug Test Result (CMO No. 18 s. 2018); and
- One (1) long brown folder and envelope.
Transferring Student (Transferee):
- Honorable dismissal with Informative copy of Transcript of Records;
- Certificate of Good Moral Character from the last school attended;
- Birth Certificate authenticated by PSA (photocopy);
- DSSC Admission Test result;
- Four (4) pieces of passport size picture with white background and handwritten nametag with signature;
- Medical Certificate
- Drug Test Result (CMO No. 18 s. 2018); and
- One (1) long brown folder and envelop
Where a student is unable to present the required Form 138 or its equivalent or the prescribed transfer credential, a certificate issued by the Chairman of the Commission or duly authorized representative will be required.
Returning Student:
- Returning students (returnees) shall be considered for readmission depending on their previous scholastic performance and must have complied with all other requirements for readmission:
- Written permission to enroll in the program they were last enrolled
- Certification or Evaluation of Grades duly signed by the College Registrar
- A readmitted student who stopped schooling for three (3) years will be evaluated based on the new curriculum of the student’s course especially when a curriculum has superseded the old one. Crediting of courses will be based on the new implemented courses.
- A student who has attended another institution after attending DSSC shall qualify on the same basis as the transferee.
Foreign Student:
A foreign-student applicant must be eligible to enroll in the college and shall comply with the requirements for admission by submitting the following documents (IACFS Joint Memo. Order No. 1 s. 2017 p. 2):
- A notarized affidavit of support including bank statements or notarized notice of grant for institutional scholars to cover expenses for the accommodation and subsistence, as well as the school dues and other incidental expenses;
- Scholastic records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence;
- Photocopy of data page of the student’s passport showing the date and place of birth, and birth certificate or its equivalent duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the student applicant’s country of origin or legal residence (Sec. 1, B, par. 5, p3, EO 285); and
- Police Clearance/Report
Refresher Course Student
A refresher course student may be admitted to the College at any time during the semester for audit purposes without earning credits, subject to such requirements and conditions. At the discretion of the faculty handling the subject, a refresher course student may be exempted from the class assignment and examinations (Art. XVIII Sec. 89. CMO 40 s. 2008).

Entrance Examination Schedule
Incoming freshmen and transferee students (Undergraduate Program only)
- Schedule will be on APRIL- MAY 2022 (every 8:00AM, 10:00AM, and 1:00PM) at DSSC Digos Campus.
- Before visiting the DSSC Digos Campus, secure your online appointment at https://forms.gle/qiijD38ddsxvdidM6.
- Present the screenshot of your online appointment upon entry at Gate 2 and bring with you the following requirements:
- Photocopy of Report Card: Grade 11 and Grade 12
- Informative Copy of TOR (for transferees)
- 2 pcs. Passport Size ID Picture with nametag (white background)
- 1 Long brown envelope, pencil, and ballpen
NOTE: The Admission Office will only cater students with COMPLETE Requirements. This is to control entry of takers and ensure health and safety protocol. Late comers will not be entertained. Wear White T-shirt (Strictly no entry for Sando, Crop tops, Ripped jeans, Slippers, and Above knee skirts)
