DSSC Inks MOA with LTO XI

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) and the Land Transportation Office Region XI (LTO XI) formalized a groundbreaking partnership during the Monday Convocation held at the DSSC Gymnasium on April 21, 2025.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between DSSC President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes and LTO XI Regional Director Atty. Ernesto Raphael V. Robillo, launching a collaborative effort that aims to deliver LTO’s Outreach Service Caravans across DSSC campuses. The initiative includes free Theoretical Driving Courses, student permit processing, driver’s license renewals, and motor vehicle registration services.

Described by Dr. Fuentes as a “very unique partnership—something never heard for decades,” the agreement not only covers documentation but also highlights its far-reaching impact on road safety. “Not only for the documents we will be signing,” she emphasized, “but also for the lives we will be saving.”

The MOA signing also marked the official launch of the Strengthening Advocacy for Future Educators (SAFE) School Initiative Projects, a joint campaign that merges road safety awareness with community involvement, especially among teacher-education students.

LTO XI Digos District Head Edmund B. Arocha, along with Atty. Robillo and Dr. Fuentes, led the ceremonial signing. DSSC’s logistical and research support, combined with LTO XI’s technical capacity, will ensure this initiative's successful rollout and monitoring.
