The Office of Research, Development, and Innovation of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) held a Basic Photography Workshop on September 19, 2025, at the DSSC Virtual Library to celebrate Philippine Creative Industries Month 2025. The MALIT-Research and Creative Works Coordinator, Ms. Jeopril Jane R. Pableo, set up the workshop. Mr. Jones Lyndon Crumb Damo, the Graphic Artists from the Public Relations and Information Office of DSSC was the main speaker.
The class was meant to help instructors and students improve their photography talents by combining theory with practice. Participants took pictures around the school grounds based on what they had learned, and Mr. Damo gave them feedback and advice to help them improve their work.
The initiative not only encouraged creativity and technical skills, but it also helped the school make good visual content and documents. The program also showed DSSC's dedication to promoting creative industries by giving teachers and students places to develop their artistic skills, technical skills, and ability to work with people from different fields.
