Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) hosted the 3rd Quarter Board of Trustees (BOT) Meeting for the Calendar Year 2025 for the four State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in Mindanao under the leadership of Commissioner and Board of Trustees Chairperson-Designate for the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino. This was conducted in the DSSC Board Room on September 30 to October 1, 2025.  

The activity occurred over two days, with each State University and College (SUC) assigned a specific session: Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC) in the morning and Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) in the afternoon of September 30; Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology (CFCST) in the morning and DSSC in the afternoon of October 1.

Ensuring the smooth execution of the sessions required DSSC to effectively host and coordinate the planning, technical support, and the settings for constructive discussions. To encourage fellowship among the SUCs, DSSC also organized a Fellowship and Welcome Dinner where the presidents and personnel of the participating institutions came together. The settings allowed for the consolidation of collegial relationships and the sharing of ideas to reinforce the cooperative ethos of higher educational institutions' leadership.

DSSC’s hosting of the formal proceedings alongside the fellowship activity was a demonstration of leadership ability with competence and, in its customary manner, hospitality. The activity was also a first step in the consolidation of inter-SUC coordination in respect of policy and academic activities, and served to signal the growing prominence of DSSC within the regional higher education framework.
