DSSC BOT holds 2nd Quarter Meeting

 

The Board of Trustees of Davao del Sur State College (DSSC BOT) conducted its in-person 2nd Quarter Meeting on August 5, 2022 at DSSC Conference Hall.

 

CHED Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag, DSSC BOT Chairperson, headed the said meeting where all 23 agenda items were approved.

 

In the said meeting, the Board approved the proposed five new program offerings of the college. According to  Dr. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President that the college will offer the following courses starting First Semester, School Year 2022-2023: Bachelor of Science in Food Technology (BSFT); Bachelor of Science in Information System (BSIS); Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology (BSVT); Bachelor of Industrial Technology major in Electrical Technology (BIT-ET); and Master in Information Technology (MIT).

 

The Board also approved the project proposal on Infrastructure and Smart Campus Development, Operationalization of Face-to-Face Classes and Upgrading/Procurement of Equipment among other financial/fiscal matters.

 

Present during the said meeting were member of the DSSC BOT namely Hon. Augie E. Fuentes, DSSC President and Vice Chairperson; Hon. Abel Monteagudo, Recional Executive Director of Department of Agriculture-Regional Office XI (DA-RFO XI); Hon. Anthony C. Sales, Regional Director of Department of Science and Techology-XI (DOST-XI); Hon. Kris Kristofferson T. Tan, Faculty Trustee; and Hon. Jerve Robin Paterno, Student Trustee. Also present thru Zoom were Hon. Maria Lourdes D. Lim, Regional Director of National Economic and Development Authority-XI (NEDA-XI); and Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, Commission on Higher Education-XI (CHED-XI) as Resource Speaker.

 

On August 3-5, 2022, DSSC became the venue of the Board of Regents Meetings of Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) and University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP, and the Board of Trustees Meetings of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC), and Southern Philippines Agri-business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST).
