On August 28, 2025, Davao de Oro State College (DdOSC) organized a benchmarking visit to Davao del Sur State College (DSSC), based on institutional practice in the context of Webometrics Ranking of World Universities. The visit occurred in coordination with the DSSC Public Relations and Information Office, with assistance of the Information and communications Technology Center, the Research Office, and the Learning Resource Management Section.

The delegation from DdOSC was composed of Khif Muamar M. Miranda, MEd-LT, Information Officer III, who served as team lead; Ron Gerard A. Celada, LPT, Information Officer I; and Phel Mar B. Padona, Website In-Charge.

Discussions were led by Neil John T. Audan, MPA, Head of the Public Relations and Information Office of DSSC. He indicated the approaches used by the college to build and sustain its presence in Webometrics. Some of the highlights were the aspect of institutional visibility, availability of research outputs, and the significance of reliable and up to date web contents.

The discussion also spoke on the collaborative work of several offices within DSSC, noting that progress in such areas cannot be traced to a single unit but to coordinated contributions across the institution. Mr. Audan further explained how the college sustains its website as an academic and public information platform, while also encouraging faculty and staff to support initiatives that strengthen transparency and research visibility.

The benchmarking was an avenue through which the two state colleges were able to share practices and experiences. The representatives of DdOSC showed their gratitude to the presented insights and that the practices are applicable to develop their own institutional strategies.
